So anyway, I shall henceforth be posting extra material for my paying subscribers because that's fairly reasonable given they are, y’know, paying me to do what I do. This extra material will contain things like podcasts and bits of writing and photos and videos you won’t see on my free “So Anyway….” and if you’d like to have access to that extra stuff then you know what to do.
Meanwhile, I went away this weekend for 2 days of walking and talking and Time with my loves under beautiful blue skies and fluffy clouds (and fluffy lambs) and while I should REALLY be posting a Like-worthy album of photographs of the stunning views over the English countryside and bluebell-laden forests and pub lunches and Instagrammable country mansions and FRESH morning coffee in an ARTISANAL bakery, all I'm going to offer you is this slightly disturbing portrait (lifted from my Instagram today) of me in a yellow-lit, stripey-wallpapered foyer that doubles as a film set for the day Wes Anderson decides to make a horror movie in Cheltenham, and personally I think it has great artistic merit for that alone, and the borrowed anorak and rucksack (full of food after a quick trip to a Sainsbury's Local) makes it.
You just have to IMAGINE the blue sky and fluffy clouds and me wandering the hilltops looking windswept and wistful like a heroine from some book or other about windswept and wistful heroines.
Like Tom Sawyer... but not that.
My work here is done.
The short, personal audio recording that paying subscribers can hear below this line relates to the photograph, its reason for being, and to much of what “So Anyway…” is both for and about.
Thank you for the truly BLOODY AMAZING support this week. Over 3000 reads in two posts is pretty wonderful.
I LOVE YOU xx
